Water Meter Repairs

Hello St. Mary's Community Members,

Each house has a water meter on their incoming service line, where water enters the house. Over time, the meter, dial, and/or transmitter can wear out. Based on meter reads from the past year, we have determined that a largescale improvement is needed to accurately capture the community's water usage.

Our billing structure is a flat rate fee, so THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR MONTHLY BILLING. Instead, this is important because, by comparing the amount of water usage in each house to the amount of water produced by our wells, we can determine the amount of water that is lost from the system (if any). It is critical that this information be as accurate as possible for us to report to the state.

Over the next few weeks and months, will be reaching out to homeowners whose meters are no longer working. Your meter is inside your house (to help prevent it from freezing), so it will require access into the house to make the necessary repairs/replacements. If you receive a phone call, text, and/or email, please respond, so that we can schedule an appointment or make other accomodations.
